Dawson Road Maintenance warning of delays on Milligan Creek Road

Dawson Road Maintenance is warning North Peace residents to expect some intermittent closures and delays on Milligan Creek Road this week.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Dawson Road Maintenance is warning North Peace residents to expect some intermittent closures and delays on Milligan Creek Road this week.

The company, responsible for all highway maintenance in the North Peace region, is conducting maintenance along Milligan Creek Road between 257 Road and Doig Road from August 19th to 23rd.

While the work is being done, single-lane alternating traffic led by a pilot car will be in effect across that entire stretch of the road.

Motorists are warned to expect “major delays” in the area, according to DriveBC. Dawson Road Maintenance has set up a detour route along Doig Road, Siphon Creek Road and Cecil Lake Road.

According to DriveBC, the work is expected to wrap up at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
