Germansen Landing Road fire grows to 280 hectares
The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) has reported a 280-hectare fire near Germansen Landing Road, north of Fort St. James.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) has reported a 280-hectare fire near Germansen Landing Road, 180 kilometres north of Fort St. James.
The fire was first reported on August 12th.
BCWS is taking a ‘full response’ to this fire. This means available resources are being used to suppress the fire’s perimeter, as the fire may present “a threat to public safety/property or other values” such as infrastructure.

The suspected cause is believed to be lightning. No evacuation orders or alerts have been issued for this fire.
