The Peace River Regional District (PRRD) issued an evacuation order on July 10th for an area south of Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek due to the blaze, urging residents nearby to prepare for a possible evacuation.

BCWS says it’s issued a “full” response to the fire, and that a lightning strike is the suspected cause of ignition.
