FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Police officers with the Prince George RCMP detachment say a wanted man last seen in early March could be in Fort St. John, in the wake of some social media discussion surrounding him.
The detachment issued a press release in March regarding Wayne Jonathan Anthony Naves, a man wanted on an unendorsed arrest warrant. Naves was last seen on March 7th, 2024.
According to the release, Naves is originally from Fort St. John.
In February, Naves was found guilty of several charges and sentenced to more than 160 days in jail for incidents between May and November of 2023.
One resident posted to a Fort St. John Facebook group on Thursday, June 27th, saying Naves’ mother “just wants to either see him again or put him to rest.”Â
A commenter on that post said they saw someone who looked similar to Naves at a local thrift store.
Prince George Media Relations Officer Jennifer Cooper says it’s “entirely possible” for Naves to be in or near the city.
