Singh says approving the application will reduce the waiting times for cabs in the city.

“I can pick other customers as well, but priority will be given to customers who need wheelchair-accessible cabs.”

Singh writes that he has been receiving requests from customers who need wheelchair access and that the city only provides handy dart services from Monday to Saturday until 6 p.m.

“If these cabs get approved, it will help to reduce waiting times for the cabs

in the City,” Singh wrote.

According to his letter, Teco Taxi and Super Cabs have more taxis in their fleets, but fewer cabs are on the road, resulting in longer wait times.

“Teco Taxi has one license for wheelchair accessible cab, but they are not using it for some reasons,” wrote Singh.

Singh says he will try to use all three vehicles to their fullest extent if approved.

Singh lives in Fort St. John with his family and his wife, operating the Marble Slab Creamery.
