Government of Canada recalls Quaker brand bars, cereals
A large number of Quaker brand bars and cereals have been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A large number of Quaker brand bars and cereals have been recalled due to possible salmonella contamination.
According to the Government of Canada, food contaminated with salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make people sick.
The government asks Canadians not to consume, serve, use, sell or distribute the recalled products.
Recalled products can be thrown out or returned to where they were purchased.
The government says young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious or even deadly infections.
People may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
The list of recalled products can be found on the Government of Canada’s website.
