“A new multi-sport court in Charlie Lake will bring kids and families together to stay active and build an even greater sense of community,” said Anne Kang, Minister of Municipal Affairs.

“My ministry continues to work with federal and local government partners on projects that support vibrant, healthy communities. This community court will be a safe and accessible gathering place for people in Charlie Lake for years to come.”

The Charlie Lake PAC has been fundraising through various means, including grant applications, local business donations and a dance.

The funding from the PRRD covers the remainder of the project’s budget and will allow for the court building to reach completion in the summer of 2024.

School District 60 will cover the costs of removing the current court as well as installing new fencing and lighting for the new court.
