Team BC loses final preliminary game of 2023 National Women’s Under-18 Championship
Team BC saw their first loss of the 2023 National Women’s Under-18 Championship on Tuesday after losing their final preliminary game to Team Ontario Red.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Team BC saw their first loss of the 2023 National Women’s Under-18 Championship on Tuesday after losing their final preliminary game to Team Ontario Red.
The final score was 6-4, and shots on goal were 27-25 for Team Ontario Red.
On Monday, Team BC celebrated a 4-2 victory over Manitoba, following Sunday’s successful start to the championship against Team Ontario Blue.
Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Team Quebec fuelled the fire for Team Alberta, who defeated Team Atlantic 6-3 on Monday.
Team Alberta saw success again in their final preliminary game on Tuesday, after defeating Team Saskatchewan 1-0.
All teams competing in the championship will take a well-deserved break on Wednesday, before hitting the ice for quarterfinals on Thursday in the Dawson Creek Ovintiv Events Centre.
Team BC will take on Team Saskatchewan at 7:30 p.m., and Team Alberta will face off against Team Ontario Blue at 4 p.m.
