Two people were transported to hospital after three-vehicle collision on South Taylor Hill

TAYLOR, B.C. — Two people were taken to hospital after a crash involving three vehicles on the South Taylor Hill Friday morning.

The RCMP says the incident took place around 7 a.m. on Highway 97 when a pickup truck rear-ended an SUV.

The initial collision resulted in the SUV crashing into another pickup truck.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to hospital for medical treatment, said police. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The RCMP says the only reported injuries were in the SUV.

The police file has been closed on this incident, and no further details will be released, said the RCMP.

Highway 97 near Pingel Creek Road reopened around 8:30 a.m. after being closed in both directions due to the incident.
