Tractor-trailer tire fire quickly extinguished

The Fort St. John Fire Department quickly extinguished two tires of a tractor truck that were on fire Friday night.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John Fire Department quickly extinguished two tires of a tractor truck that were on fire Friday night.

Deputy fire chief Daniel Simpson said the fire department responded to the fire at approximately 10:20 p.m., arriving only four minutes after receiving a call for service.

Five firefighters on one apparatus quickly put the fire out and managed to contain the fire to the tires.

Simpson said no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
