Over the past two weeks, the forest fires burning north of Fort St. John have dominated the news, along with several evacuation alerts and orders issued by local governments due to the fires posing danger to human life.
So, today on Moose Talks, we’re joined by Ryan Harvey, the Communications Manager with the City of Fort St. John, and Mike Watkins, the Peace River Regional District‘s Emergency Operations Centre Director, to break down how these alerts and orders were issued and what we can expect going forward over the weekend and in the coming weeks.
