AgriSpirit Fund awarding $1.5 million in 2023

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) has opened applications for the AgriSpirit Fund.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Farm Credit Canada (FCC) has opened applications for the AgriSpirit Fund.

The fund supports communities with less than 150,000 people through charities, non-profit groups, and First Nations, Métis or Inuit governments/communities.

In 2022, the Peace River Regional District and the Charlie Lake Fire Department received $20,000 for a new fire hose.

The Peace River Regional District received $10,000 in 2021 for a new commercial grill and stove for the North Peace Fall Fair Society’s kitchen.

Also, in 2021, the Taylor Fire Rescue & Emergency Support Services received $15,000 for an AeroClave unit.

Applications will be accepted until May 15th, 2023, and the selected projects will be announced in September.
