“I am so grateful for the experience I had, and I couldn’t have done so well if it wasn’t for the wonderful teachings from Myllymaki,” Pruden said of the experience.
Kara Myllymaki has been teaching the hairdressing courses for the Northern Lights College and NPSS dual credit program for the past ten years and has been teaching in the district since 2002.
In the past, Vancouver Community College has swept the competition, gaining medals and attention from the judges, according to NPSS.
This year Myllymaki was happy with the compliments her students received.
