City of Fort St. John hosting information session for those interested in running for Council by-election
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John will be holding a session aimed for those interested in running for Fort St. John City Council in the upcoming by-election to fill the seat vacated by Peace River North MLA Dan Davies.
The session is scheduled for Thursday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
The meeting will provide an overview of Council roles and responsibilities, remerunaiton and benefits and time commitment requirements.
Those who attend will be given time to ask questions and also review the candidate binder.
The City says that the nomination period begins on July 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and ends on August 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
