FORT WARE, B.C. – Members of the North Peace Search and Rescue assisting the Tsay Keh Dene RCMP are continuing efforts today for a 45 year-old man after a boating incident on the Finlay River near Fort Ware.

On Sunday, three men were floating down the Finlay River when the boat they were in hit a log jam and flipped the men into the river. Two of the men were able to swim to shore, however the third man was last seen floating down the river.

Police were notified at 8:00 p.m. that the man had not been seen since, and search efforts were begun. Search and Rescue assembled a swift water team from Vanderhoof while the Department of Fisheries sent a boat to help with the search, which was continued today.
