Update on wildfires – April 22 – 5 p.m.

Here are some updates about the fires of note in the region.

The Attachie fire, 35 kilometres west of Fort St. John along Highway 29, is 100 per cent contained, and crews have made good progress on this fire and the fire is now being patrolled.

The Baldonnel fire is 100 per cent contained the fire is now in Patrol status. Four firefighters are on scene, and fire activity has significantly decreased on this fire and is now being patrolled.

The Charlie Lake is 100 per cent contained, and in mop-up.

The East Pine is 100 per cent contained. This fire has had some challenges but with the use of air tanker support this fire is now in mop-up.

The Hudson’s Hope is 100 per cent contained, and now being patrolled.

The Lone Prairie fire 50 per cent contained. 35 firefighters, one heavy equipment, one airtankers are on scene and fighting the fire. The Air tanker will be working this fire, heavy equipment is also on-site.

The South Taylor Hill fire is 100 per cent contained, and in mop-up. The BC Wildfire Service currently has 5 firefighters, 1 helicopter, and 1 officer.
