Trackers and Royals skate to 2-2 draw

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The N.E. B.C. and Yukon Trackers and Peace River Royals entered yesterday’s game tied in the standings in the Bear Slashing Division, and at its conclusion that’s where they remained. The two teams got together for a game in Dawson Creek that resulted in a 2-2 tie.

The Trackers opened up a 1-0 lead in the first period, and increased their lead to two in the second. Unfortunately for them two late goals in the second by Peace River in the final minute 40 seconds apart tied the game.

There was no scoring over the final 20 minutes.

Scoring for the Trackers were Gary Loewen, and Geoffrey Dick.

As mentioned both clubs remain tied in the division standings for second place and are six points behind the Grande Prairie Storm.
