Petroleum Association Flyers split weekend games
The Fort St. John Petroleum Association Flyers travelled to Sexsmith for a league game this past Saturday and came away with another win. They led 2-0 after the opening period as Lance Aylward scored from Cooper Willms and Jason Lee found the back of the net from Travis Domeij.
Lee notched with his second goal from Jessie McArthur and Max Dobson in the middle frame and the last of the goals was scored by Lance Aylward from Nathan Bragg. The Flyers won 5-2 with 38 saves coming from Austin Craig between the pipes.
On Sunday the Flyers were back at it facing Valleyview. Reilly Elder-Cherry had a strong game with 39 saves but it wasn’t enough taking a 4-3 loss. Dobson scored from McArthur, Tyler Bueckert scored with a great wrist shot from Willms, and Rice had the 3rd goal from Daniel Forrest.
The team is back at it with a home game this weekend at the North Peace Arena at 2 p.m. against Beaverlodge.
