Northern Lights College welcomes new Vice President to Leadership Team
After searching through a pool of applicants for someone to fill a Vice Presidential position, a suitable candidate has been found.
Ontario-born Susan Hunter has joined the College’s senior leadership team in the Vice President of Community Relations and Student Services role.
“I’m very pleased that I am being given the opportunity to join such a strong and progressive College poised for greatness,” says Hunter of her new employer.
“Both Northern Lights College and the communities it serves have many assets that will further enhance their presence in the post-secondary sector of British Columbia. I look forward to being a part of this success.”
Hunter previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Sault College for nearly a decade.
She was also a corporate trainer with Sault’s industry partner Tenaris University, and led the $4 million Study North project with six northern Ontario colleges.
Hunter did graduate work at the University of Toronto — on First Nations empowerment and a published masters thesis with Academica Press on the topic. She also holds two undergraduate degrees from Western University in French Language and Literature, as well as Education.
She also has lived in countries around the world, including France and Japan, and the US.
