DAWSON CREEK, B.C. -The Dawson Creek SPCA is partnering with Lake View Credit Union (LVCU) for a blanket fundraiser after 119 dogs were brought to Peace region shelters.
On Friday, March 12th, the SPCA received the dogs from the Fort Nelson area. The dogs were taken to both the North and South Peace SPCA putting a strain on the SPCA resources. The majority of the dogs were brought to the South Peace branch.
LVCU CEO Lori Archibald says, “We were all dismayed when we heard about the plight of all those poor little dogs, but we know they’re in good hands, and we want to do everything we can to support our local SPCA’s efforts.”
From now until April 9th, for every clean blanket or towel that’s donated to the South Peace SPCA, LVCU will contribute $8 to help support the SPCA.
