Dawson Creek breaks another heat record

The hottest it had ever been on May 6 before was 24.4 degrees in 1953.

Both the Mile 0 City and Fort St. John broke records on Sunday, with Dawson Creek pushing 27.9 degrees when the previous high of 23.9 degrees was set in 1957. Fort St. John hit a high of 25.8 degrees at the airport weather station, breaking the previous temperature record of 24 degrees set in 1990.

Both cities will see temperatures cool off over the next few days.
