School buses cancelled, travel advisories issued for B.C. North Peace

Travel advisories have been issued for Highway 97 in both directions from Taylor to Mile 83 as well as Highway 29 from Hudson’s Hope to the junction with Highway 97 in Fort St. John. Travel is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.

 Fort St. John received 4.6 millimetres of precipitation yesterday, with more overnight, bringing the unofficial April total to 31.4 millimetres.  With the April precipitation norm at 18.8 millimetres, it’s quite possible by the end of the day we may have doubled the average norm.
