Ride for the Disabled comes to a close for another year

Winter Warde is the treasurer for the Ride for the Disabled. She says the event is a great chance for riders to show off their skills.

“It shows off our riders and what they can accomplish in a season. They’re here every Wednesday from the beginning of October to the  end of April,” she says. “There’s also huge benefits for their muscle strength, flexibility and coordination.”

One of the parents in attendance, David Wiebe says the event is a boost the the riders emotional well-being.

“It’s good for the kids to keep them motivated and to help with their confidence,” he says. “We got introduced to the program through the school, and it’s been great.”
