Site C Project Definition Consultation tonight in Fort St. John

The input gathered will on specific set of topics, including worker accommodations, transportation, clearing and agriculture. The sessions will also help B.C. Hydro provide information on project plans, project design and mitigation plans as the energy company prepares its Environmental Impact Statement for review in the environment assessment process in 2013.

Organized by Ken and Arlene Boon, dam protesters will be participating in the open house and will gather at the old Co-op mall parking lot at 6 p.m. before heading to the meeting.

Across the region, there will also be two back-to-back sessions tomorrow at 4 and 6 p.m. in the Hudson's Hope Community Hall, two more Thursday at 2 and 6 p.m. at the Best Western in Dawson Creek, and another one on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the Taylor Community Hall. The series, which begin yesterday, is scheduled conclude next week, with a Monday session in Tumbler Ridge, and two more on Tuesday in Chetwynd.
