B.C. Hydro will be installing ducts to connect to the large four-way manhole recently placed under the intersection, which will require excavating the road for trenching. The manhole is intended to allow for access to power lines for maintenance in the future.

Traffic is expected to flow normally once the work is done and the intersection is reopened.

The City of Fort St. John and B.C. Hydro say work on the two projects in the area is still on schedule to be completed by the end of August, in time for the beginning of the school year.
