Although three of the assailants were wearing masks, one was not, and another occupant of the home was able to identify him and escape the house to call 9-1-1. After the assault, all four suspects left on foot.

The male and female went to the hospital, where the male was treated for minor injuries and has since been released.

Meanwhile, RCMP and Police Dog Services attended the house, and began the search for the identified male. Upon learning police were looking for him, the unmasked male called the RCMP to turn himself in at 11 a.m., and was subsequently arrested without incident. He is now facing recommended charges of Break & Enter, Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and Breach of Probation, and is in custody awaiting his court date.

The identity of the other three masked suspects is still unknown. They are all described as being between 5 foot 4 and 5 foot 6 inches and one slim build. Two of them were wearing woolen balaclavas and the other a hand-made cloth face mask, and all wearing black.

If you are able to identify or locate any of these males, or have any information regarding this incident, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
