Extreme wind chill values minus 35 to minus 45 expected today.

A bitterly cold Arctic airmass will continue to dominate the British Columbia interior today. The combination of very cold temperatures with moderate northerly winds will produce extreme wind chill values near minus 35 over South Thompson, Fraser Canyon and Nicola regions and near minus 45 over B.C. Peace River, Yoho Park – Kootenay Park, Elk Valley and Chilcotin regions today.

People planning to spend time outdoors should exercise extreme caution as frostbite can occur within minutes.
