Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

According to Captain Ben Lippers of the Salvation Army, the non-profit organization is very close to achieving its goal, and currently is playing the waiting game as donation cheques continue to arrive via mail.

Lippers says he is confident the Salvation Army will reach its goal, and currently "is so close (they) can taste it."

An annual part of the holiday campaign are the Red Kettles located city wide, which, this year, have raised over $86,000 towards their goal.
