Fatal workplace accident near Groundbirch

The Dawson Creek RCMP are investigating a fatal workplace accident.

Tuesday morning at 8:10 a.m., the RCMP received a report of a fatality at an industrial construction site located north of Groundbirch.

A 47 year-old male was pinned between two pieces of heavy equipment and was pronounced deceased by B.C. Ambulance.

At this time, the RCMP haven’t released any further information about the incident and say it is still under investigation and they are working in conjunction with the B.C. Coroners Service and Worksafe B.C.
