Local organization to hold fundraiser

With the golf season in full swing, a local organization is catering to the fans of the sport.

The S.C.A.R.S. Ministries of Fort St. John will be holding its second annual “Swing into Freedom” golf tournament and BBQ.

The tournament and BBQ will be taking place Saturday, June 1 at Links Golf Course, located at 12704 86 St.

The cost to enter the tournament is $500 for a four-person team or $125 for individual players. The admission cost also includes a BBQ and prizes.

The tournament includes nine holes of best-ball golf, with prizes available to be won for longest drive, closest to the pin and best score. There is also a $10,000 hole in one prize.
