UPDATE #2 – Alaska Highway closed south of Fort St. John

UPDATE #2 – The Highway is now open to single lane alternating traffic.  There is still a travel advisory in affect for all roads in the Peace Region.

UPDATE – Thanks to Monica for this tip.  The incident  is between the Farmington store and Mason road.  Detoured traffic currently being re-routed through Miller Road to Sweet Water cut across (across from Mason road).

The Dawson Creek RCMP have confirmed that the Alaska Highway has been closed near Farmington.

The highway has been closed because of a motor vehicle incident in that area.  At this time we very little details about this incident.
