Update – Police incident in Dawson Creek has several blocks closed off

Update – As of 8am on March 2nd, the standoff continues in Dawson Creek.  The RCMP still haven’t provided any official information at this time.  All we have are unconfirmed reports of a lone occupant in the home.  As soon as we can get more information, we will pass it along.

Energeticcity.ca has received a report of a police incident in Dawson Creek that has closed off six blocks in the 600 block of 99th Ave. Police appear to have surrounded a house with about 20 RCMP vehicles on scene.Â
According to an eyewitness, area residents are being turned away by the RCMP are are not allowed to return home. Â The RCMP at this time have not provided any official details on the incident.
The incident began at about 4:30 PM.Â
