Northern Strikers excel at Powerplay Cup

Fort St. John teams did exceptionally well at the Powerplay Cup soccer tournament in Edmonton last weekend.

Playing on full-size arenas the teams were unfamiliar with, Northern Strikers teams brought home the following medals:

Under-18 boys – Coach Tony Almeida – Gold

Under-16 boys – Coaches Dan Turner and Brad Gullason – Silver

Under-14 boys – Gold

Under-12 boys – Coach Wayde Hollingshead – Silver

Under-10 team – no medal.

The teams will all be returning to Edmonton in March for more tournaments, including the Alberta Provincial Championships.
