Fort St. John’s Braden Pimm scored the first goal of the game, and it held up as the winner, as the Vernon Vipers beat the Humboldt Broncos 2-0, in Sunday’s final of the Royal Bank Cup.

Defenceman Kyle Bigos added a beautiful insurance marker, to secure his spot as tournament MVP.

The win made the Vipers the winningest team in Canadian Junior A Hockey, as they went 6-and-0 in Victoria, to claim their fifth national championship.
