RCMP seeks public assistance to locate a person wanted for alleged assault
The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a person wanted for alleged assault.
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a person wanted for alleged assault.Â
According to a press release by the RCMP on July 7, officers are looking for Douglas (Boomer) Mayes, 58, who is wanted for alleged assault by choking and failing to comply with a probation order.Â
Mayes is described as an Indigenous man, standing five foot seven tall and weighing 190 pounds. He has short grey hair, a grey goatee and brown eyes.Â

The press release said Mayes is associated with a grey 2001 Chevrolet Silverado crew-cab pickup with an unknown red decal across the rear window.Â
The RCMP is asking anyone with information on the Mayes’s whereabouts to contact Fort St. John at 250-787-8100, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at northernbccrimestoppers.ca.Â
