Homicide team investigating shooting that left one dead in Langley, B.C.

LANGLEY — Homicide investigators have been called in after a shooting in Langley, B.C., in which one man died.

Langley RCMP say they and other emergency services were called to a report of shots fired in the 5400 block of Brydon Cres., around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They say the man was found in medical distress and despite efforts to save them, they died at the scene.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says in a statement that they have taken over the case, and the attack appears to have been targeted and was limited to a single home within a multi-unit complex.

The victim has been identified as a man in his 40s, but no further details have been released pending family notifications.

Homicide investigators say officers will be canvassing the neighbourhood for witnesses.
