FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Fort Nelson provincial courts between May 11th and May 15th.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing May 11th
Audrey Connie Leigh Goulet (born 1985)
Goulet was found guilty of possessing stolen property worth under $5,000 on February 4th, 2025, in Fort St. John.
They were handed a conditional discharge, which means the record won’t show a conviction if the person meets the conditions the judge sets, a probation order for nine months, and must pay a $100 victim surcharge, which goes towards helping crime victims.
Raymon Thomas Liepins (born 1978)
Liepins was found guilty of assault on March 6th, 2026, in Fort St. John.

They were sentenced to ‘jail time served’, meaning the time Liepins served in jail awaiting sentencing was counted towards his sentence, and a 12-month probation order.
Dallas Skyler Oker-Unger (born 1992)
Oker-Unger was found guilty of mischief worth $5,000 or less on December 19th, 2025, and of breaching an undertaking on March 19th, 2025.
They were sentenced to time served in jail and a 12-month probation order.
They were also found guilty of theft worth $5,000 or less and of being in a dwelling-house without a lawful excuse on December 18th, 2025, in Fort St. John.
They were sentenced to time served in jail, handed a 12-month probation order, and a DNA order was made, requiring them to report for sample collection.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing May 12th
Gaven Jimmy John Jackson (born 2000)
Jackson was found guilty of breaching a release order on December 2nd, 2025, in Dawson Creek.
They were handed a suspended sentence with conditions and a six-month probation order.
Jackson was also found guilty of driving while prohibited or with a suspended licence on August 28th, 2025, in Dawson Creek.
They were fined $500 and must pay a $75 victim surcharge.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing May 13th
Terry David Green (born 1960)
Reasonable grounds were satisfied for Green for an incident on August 16th, 2025, in Fort St. John.
Green was issued a $500 recognizance for 12 months following the allegation, meaning if Green fails to comply with the court’s conditions, they must pay the $500.
Fort Nelson Provincial Court sentencing May 13th
Kurtus Ryan Matthew Dennis (born 1995)
Dennis was found guilty of assault and assault with a weapon on December 15th, 2024, in Watson Lake, Yukon.
They were handed a conditional sentence, which is a sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest,’ for a period of six months.
Chetwynd Provincial Court sentencing May 14th
Devin Daniel Calliou (born 1995)
Calliou was found guilty of driving while prohibited or with a suspended licence on July 8th, 2025, in Chetwynd.
They were fined $500 and must pay a $75 victim surcharge.
Fredrick Ivan Steen (born 1966)
Steen was found guilty of failing to produce a driver’s licence or insurance on February 6th, 2025, in Chetwynd.
They were handed a 12-month probation order, fined $2,000 and must pay a $300 victim surcharge.
