South Peace District Crime Prevention hosting free BBQ 

The South Peace District Crime Prevention Association will be hosting a free BBQ in honour of National Police Week on May 13th.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. —  Residents of Dawson Creek will have the opportunity to show support for RCMP officers while also donating to a local fund.

On Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, from 11 p.m. to 2 p.m., a free barbecue will be held on the lawn of the Dawson Creek RCMP Detachment at 1230 102nd Avenue. 

According to an email from the South Peace District Crime Prevention Association, the BBQ is free to attend, and attendees can donate to the Tumbler Ridge Resiliency Fund, which helps the community on its journey forward.
