Maintenance on Taylor Bridge to cause delays

Maintenance work on Taylor Bridge will cause delays for commuters on Friday, May 2nd, from 7 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

TAYLOR, B.C. — Traffic delays are to be expected on the Taylor Bridge due to maintenance work. 

According to an update posted to Dawson Road Maintenance – North Peace’s Facebook page on April 28th, it will be performing maintenance work on the bridge on Friday May 2nd, from 7 p.m. to 3.30 a.m. on May 3rd. 

The post said traffic on the bridge will be reduced to a single lane alternating traffic, controlled by a pilot car.

Oversized and overweight loads that exceed 3.85 metres (12.6 feet) in width will not be able to cross during this time and will be required to wait until after 3.30 a.m. 

Dawson Road Maintenance is encouraging carriers and stakeholders to plan movements around this timeframe to avoid extended delays.
