“[For the challenges, classes compete against each other and it’s home reading, so the kids read at home, record their minutes and bring them in,” she said, adding that the purpose of the challenge is to improve reading.
Each challenge runs for three weeks and the school gives out weekly prizes for kids and classes. Additionally, the school will also have an overall winner.
In total, more than 80 kids participated in the reading challenge.
She said: [The books range from] fiction to non-fiction and younger kids can [have] their parents read to them.”
