More than 600 customers to be impacted by power outages in Dawson Creek, Taylor
BC Hydro has planned power outages in Dawson Creek and Taylor which will affect more than 600 customers on April 16th and 22nd.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Upcoming power outages are expected to affect more than 600 BC Hydro customers in Dawson Creek and Taylor.Â
As per BC Hydro’s outages list, 462 customers in Dawson Creek will lose power on April 22nd and 168 customers will be without power on April 16th in Taylor.Â
In Taylor, the outage has been rescheduled from March 24th. Areas that will be impacted are around 101st Street, 102nd Avenue, 102nd Street, 107th Avenue, McMahon Drive, Spruce Street and West Pine Avenue from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.Â

The outage in Taylor is due to pole replacement.Â
In Dawson Creek, which will affect 446 customers, the following impacted areas will experience two short outages, approximately from 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.Â
Impacted areas are around 14th Road, 214th Road, Dunen Road, 216th Road, 218th Road, 219th Road, 220th Road, 221st Road, 223rd Road, 224th Road, 225th Road, 227th Road, 229th Road, 233rd Road, 235th Road, 237th Road, 241st Road, 245th Road, 247th Road, 251st Road, 253rd Road, 255th Road, Boyscout Road, Highway 97, Alaska Highway, Alaska Road, Alderdale, Bonk Road, Gibsons Frontage Road, Graham Road, Isaac Road, James Paul Road, Lebell Road, Lebell Cross, Mason Road, Miller Road, Old Alaska Highway, Parkland Road, Price Road, Anderson Road, Reidell Road, Strasky Road, Sutherland Road.Â
A third outage will affect 16 customers in Dawson Creek on the same day around 237th Road, Alaska Highway, Mason Road and Vopicka Road from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

BC Hydro had previously said customers affected by the outages will receive automated phone calls, emails or postcards to alert them.
