DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The Dawson Creek Canucks are warning 2026 Coy Cup fans of a scam. 

The 2026 Coy Cup, the province’s premier ‘AA’ senior hockey championship, started on March 31st and will go until April 4th at the Dawson Creek and District Memorial Arena. 

According to a Facebook post uploaded to the Dawson Creek Canucks on March 31st, people have been targeted by scammers charging fans to stream Canuck games.

“All games in the 2026 Coy Cup are being streamed for free on our Facebook site,” the post reads.

“No Charge. If someone is charging you, then you are being scammed.”

The games will see the Dawson Creek Canucks face off against the Quesnel Kangaroos, Powell River Regals and the Rossland Warriors.

The first Coy Cup was awarded during the 1922/23 hockey season.
