Registration opens for Fort St. John’s 2026 Mental Health Conference

The City of Fort St. John will host its 2026 Mental Health Conference at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre on May 21st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The City of Fort St. John is all set to host its 2026 Mental Health Conference. 

According to a media release by the City of Fort St. John, the conference has been scheduled for May 21st at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

The release said the full-day conference is designed for adults who support youth every day.

It will explore how schools, families, teams and communities can work together to help build resilience, wellbeing and strengthen how adults can show up for young people. 

The conference will feature a lineup that includes speakers with experiences in fields like youth mental health, education, clinical practice and community support.

  • Allan Kehler, author of Goodbye Stress. Hello Life!
  • Brittany Hartnell, behaviour interventionist
  • Jennifer Flanagan, advocate for online safety and empowering youth
  • Dr. Katharine Smart, pediatrician, medical leader and speaker
  • Michelle Cederberg, health and productivity expert
  • Mike Harnett, expert on the science of fatigue, sleep and safety management systems
  • Dr. Vanessa Lapointe, author of Discipline Without Damage 

The Mental Health Conference will be offered in person and virtually. Speakers will share practical insights, evidence-informed approaches and real-world strategies, the press release said. 

Tickets for the in-person session will be $52.38 before taxes and for the virtual session, the tickets cost $28.57 before taxes.
