Fort St. John RCMP investigating weekend incident
An incident involving police officers and a pair of men inside a pickup involved one person being transported to the hospital.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St. John RCMP detachment is investigating what it called ‘an incident’ which took place during the overnight hours.
According to a statement from police, the incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. in the 9700 block of 86th Street on the morning of Sunday, March 29th.
The release says several officers performed a traffic stop on a black Ford pickup police allege “is believed to be involved in criminal activity in Fort St John.”

The stop resulted in an altercation with the two individuals in the vehicle, which resulted in BC Emergency Services being called as one man was inside the truck was taken to hospital with injuries.
The RCMP are seeking anyone with dashcam footage or smartphone video who was in the area at the time to come forward, as its investigation is still in the early stages.
