Here are some recent updates happening at Energeticcity.ca:
First, we have created a new Instagram account. A couple of years ago, news sites were removed from Meta platforms; however, we know that there are still some people who prefer those social media channels. As restrictions have become less strict, we have found a way to continue to share some updates via Reels. If you are an Instagram user, make sure to follow us!
Second, we have a new General Assignment Reporter joining the team! Ethan Van Dop graduated from the Broadcast and Online Journalism program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2025. Before coming to work for Moose Media, Ethan worked as a freelance writer for Canucks Army. Ethan’s inspiration behind going into news is his love for the Vancouver Canucks. Ever since he was a kid, Ethan’s dream has been to one day work as a reporter covering the Canucks. Through his time at BCIT, Ethan’s passion for reporting on news has only grown. Here is a message from Ethan on joining the team:

“My time so far in Fort St. John has been really fun. It’s been awesome getting to meet people within the community. Everyone at Moose Media has been super kind and welcoming, I feel like I’ve already been working here for years. Born and raised in the lower mainland, I’ve really enjoyed seeing new areas of British Columbia. I look forward to continuing to meet new people and experience more things in Fort St. John.”
If you see Ethan or any of our reporters out and about in the community, make sure to say hi!
