Northeastern B.C.’s health authority, Northern Health, had previously confirmed to Energeticcity.ca that the health centre continues to face “interruptions” due to “staffing shortages.”
The normal hours for the centre are Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Outside of normal working hours and during the weekends, the health authority urged residents who are in need of emergency healthcare to call 911 to connect with BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.
Energeticcity.ca has reached out to Northern Health for a comment but did not immediately hear back in time for publication. This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
