Spun-out truck closes road north of Fort St. John as snowfall creates slippery road conditions

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A Fort St. John road has closed due to a spun-out truck this afternoon. 

According to DriveBC, Cecil Lake Road between 263 Road and 251 Road is closed as of about 4:10 p.m. on March 20th. 

It says a “heavy truck” spun out in slippery conditions caused by the snowfall about 17 kilometres west of Cecil Lake, and tow tractors are en route.

Environment Canada forecasts snowfall and flurries in Fort St. John all this evening, and temperatures dipping to around -7 C overnight.
