Hudson’s Hope Health Centre temporarily closed again for eighth day in month as it battles short staffing

The health centre in Hudson’s Hope is closed ‘temporarily’ again on March 20th and will reopen as scheduled on March 23rd at 8.30 a.m.

HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. —  The health centre in Hudson’s Hope has closed for the eighth day in less than four weeks.

According to Northern Health’s emergency department page, the centre is closed on March 20th and will reopen as scheduled on Monday, March 23rd at 8.30 a.m. 

This comes after the centre was also temporarily closed on March 13th, March 10th, March 6th and for the week from February 24th to 27th

During normal working hours, the centre is open on Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Northern Health confirmed to Energeticcity.ca it is continuing to experience “interruptions” due to “staffing shortage.” 

On the weekends and outside of working hours, residents who are in need of emergency healthcare are told to call 911 to connect with BC Emergency Health Services for transport to the nearest available hospital.
