FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Below are the latest sentences handed down from the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek provincial courts between March 9th and 13th.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, March 9th
Allen Michael Bennie (born 1979)

Bennie was found guilty of possessing a firearm without a licence or registration on May 18th, 2025 in Hudson’s Hope.
They were handed a conditional discharge, which means the record won’t show a conviction if a person meets the conditions the judge sets.
They were also handed a probation order for six months, firearm prohibition for 10 years and were subject to forfeiture, which allows the government to seize property and assets ‘tainted’ by crime.
Noah Fagan-Andersen (born 2006)

Fagan-Andersen was found guilty of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm on August 27th, 2025 in Fort St. John.
They were handed a conditional discharge and a probation order for 12 months.
Diesel Wyatt Clifford Foster (born 1997)
Foster was found guilty of driving with a prohibited or suspended licence on June 13th, 2025 in Fort St. John.
They were fined $500, handed a driving prohibition for 12 months and ordered to pay $75 as a victim surcharge, which goes towards helping the victims of a crime.
Jani Kristian Suutarinen (born 1975)
Suutarinen was found guilty of an incident on November 2nd, 2024 in Fort St. John.
They were issued a $500 recognizance after the allegation, where the accused is given conditions to follow, for a period of 12 months. If Suutarinen fails to follow the conditions laid out by the court, they must pay the $500.
Gordon Alexander William Thomson (born 1986)
Thomson was found guilty of driving with a prohibited or suspended licence on February 10th, 2025 in Fort St. John.
They were fined $500 and were ordered to pay $75 as a victim surcharge.
Thomson was also found guilty of possessing stolen property on December 18th, 2024 in Charlie Lake.
They were handed a conditional sentence to be served outside of jail under strict conditions, sometimes called ‘house arrest,’ for five months.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, March 10th
Jaydon Dominick Diblasio (born 2001)
Diblasio was found guilty of breaching a release order and wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer on January 24th, 2026 in Fort St. John.
They were sentenced to jail for one day.
Diablasio was also found guilty of breaching an undertaking and unlawful confinement or imprisonment on December 22nd and 23rd, 2025 in Fort St. John.
They were sentenced to jail time served, ordered to report for sample collection and issued a DNA order, probation order for 18 months and firearms prohibition for five years.
Kaitlynn Marie Gauthier (born 1993)
Gauthier was found guilty of assault on September 30th, 2024 in Fort St. John.
They were handed a conditional discharge and a six-month probation order. A conditional discharge means the record won’t show a conviction if Gauthier meets the conditions the judge sets.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, March 10th
Seth William Austin (Born 2007)
Austin was found guilty of failing to comply with a sentence or surcharge or disposition on September 14th, 2025 in Dawson Creek.
They were given a conditional discharge and a probation order for three months.
Adam Kennith Dahr (born 1995)
Dahr was found guilty of robbery on February 1st, 2024 in Dawson Creek.
They were sentenced to jail for 1,394 days, subjected to forfeiture and given both a lifetime firearm prohibition and a primary DNA order.
Sterling Keith Hilderman (born 1988)
Hilderman was found guilty of uttering threats and two counts of mischief to property worth over $5,000 on November 26th, 2025 in Chetwynd.
They were given a jail-time-served sentence and a one-year probation order.
They were also found guilty of assault by choking on December 30th in Chetwynd.
For this, Hilderman was handed a jail sentence for one day, a probation order for one year and firearms prohibition for 10 years. A primary DNA order was also made and they were asked to report for sample collection.
Fort St. John Provincial Court sentencing, March 11th
Meaghan Alberta Elizabeth Woods (born 1987)
Woods was found guilty of wilfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer on September 1st, 2024 in Fort St. John.
They were sentenced to jail time served and given a probation order for nine months.
Dawson Creek Provincial Court sentencing, March 13th
Jayden Charles Cobb (born 1997)
Cobb was found guilty of breaching a release order and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose on November 8th, 2024 in Dawson Creek.
They were handed a conditional sentence for 180 days, forfeiture, a probation order for 12 months and a firearms prohibition for 10 years.
