One of the warnings says even more than 15cm could fall north and west of Fort Nelson.

It says a “frontal system” is to cause the snow, but the precipitation may taper off or change to rain by tomorrow morning.

A ‘yellow’ warning means there could be damage, disruption or health impacts because of the weather, but they will be moderate, localized or short-term.

Drivers are cautioned to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions, with roads and walkways difficult to navigate in the snowfall and visibility reduced.
